Thirty years after Tatsuya and Kazuya Uesugi brought Meisei High School to their only appearance and championship at the National High School Baseball Championship, a pair of highly talented stepbrothers, Touma and Souichirou Tachibana, bring the possibility of a return to the Kōshien, as they learn of the Meisei High sports heritage of their fathers.

Another sports anime, which I don't usually care for. This one did manage to intrigue me early with an interesting classical animation style and some heart to the characters. The show takes it's time establishing the premise, but does have some interesting humour at times. It's a bit plodding at times, but makes for an interesting slice of life sports show.

I suppose if I liked baseball (or high school) I'd have a good chance of liking this show -- but no such luck. The art style is a blast from the past, though, which was nice.

New school sports anime with that old school look. A generational leap in animation, music, etc. Has a *really* good look to it. Good writing and sense of comedy.

This like slow burn. Not as comical as the original series with trying to see who would get the third wheel in the end. As the same as Touch, twin brothers, one pitcher, the other as the catcher. It has it's own charm but with all spots anime, it drags on forever.
